Upper Floor:
King Master Suite with private dedicated porch, walk-in closet, double sinks, bathroom with separate shower and garden tub. The master also has cable TV and VCR, ceiling fan, phone, and alarm clock.
Second Floor:
Queen Bedroom & Bedroom with 2 twin beds. Both of these bedrooms have private porches, one with a gulf and beach view and the 2nd with a lake view. They also each have private bathrooms, VCR and the Queen Bedroom cable TV.
There is also a full laundry room with a washer, dryer, iron and ironing board. We try to ensure that there is also laundry soap for your convenience!
Lower Floor:
You will find a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, breakfast bar, living room and large back deck and a half bath.
- Kitchen: Fully stocked with refrigerator with ice maker, stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker, dishes, pots and pans. Kitchen also has a portable phone & answering machine.
- Dining room: Seating for six with an additional 2 bar stools.
- Living room: Queen sleeper sofa, 2 chairs, coffee table for playing games, cable TV, DVD, movies, puzzles, several games and books all opening to a large back deck and a beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico and beach.
- Large Back Porch: Seating for 4 with a table and umbrella along with 2 chaise lounges and a gas grill.
Covered parking: Under the unit you will find covered parking for 2 cars or a car and a small boat. There is also a hot and cold shower and hose.
Little Extras for the beach: For your convenience we have provided some extras that we hope clears some space in your car!!

- Boogie boards
- 2 Outdoor hoses and shower to wash those sandy paws & toes!
- Cooler
- Crab Nets and Crab Buckets.
Little Extras for the home: No need to pack so much! We try to have an extra supply on hand of some to the things that are tough to pack or you may forget:

- Extra Garbage Bags

Beautiful living room. Large back deck that walks directly onto the beach.

King Bedroom on the upper floor for privacy, has a private porch overlooking the beach and Gulf of Mexico, private bathroom, cable TV and VCR.
Queen Bedroom on second level also has a private porch with a Gulf View, private bathroom and cable TV.
The twin bedroom is also on the second floor and has a private porch, private bathroom and cable TV.

We did make it home safe and sound....and sad! We've done numerous trips, Disney Cruise, all inclusive resorts etc., but this was the first vacation we've ever taken as a family where I had tears in my eyes when leaving! We literally did NOTHING! I cooked all the meals at home and spent some very valuable and hard to get family time with my 2 girls and husband.
While we were there we saw dolphins! One even swam about 5 feet way from a guy out in the water to get her baby away from him...it was so awesome. The home made us feel comfortable right way. We settled in as if we had lived there forever. We truly had a great time!
We will come back for sure. I am hoping to do a family reunion there with some of my sisters and their families. My husband travels A LOT. We don't see much of him. On trips he is usually on the phone. Not at Cape San Blas...due to the no cell phone or limited cell phone coverage, we had him all to ourselves. It was really great for girls to have their dad's undivided attention. Thanks again!

Thank you for the very prompt check for the deposit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and especially the dog-friendly beach and the jewel of a state park. We did attend a bird walk in the park, the information being available at the registration station. Visits to the St. Vincent Wildlife Refuge probably are best during the guided tour since the shuttle drops you off on the beach but the lakes and wetlands are on the other end of the island. We did attend a great lecture by an archaeologist from the U at Tampa given by the Friends of the Refuge. Best restaurants and shopping we thought were in Apalachicola, which s a really neat historic town. Keep us on the mailing/email list. Many thanks.

Made it home, but still missing the warm weather and the ocean. Had a wonderful time just relaxing and walking on the beach! The dolphins were out the first few days of our stay. Bella, our bull mastiff, enjoy her stay as well. We hope to come back next year, it's just heaven down there. Thank you for everything and appreciate all your help in making our vacation enjoyable!

We had a GREAT time. It is easy to see why people come back there time and time again. The view was so beautiful and we really enjoyed our unit. We met our neighbors on either side and they were so very nice. In fact, I have some pictures of the little boy in #11 when he was fishing that I will send you to forward on to them.
It was so great to be able to have Biscuit down there with us and everyone is so great with their dogs there. She loved the beach and went kayaking with us too!
Thanks so much for your help in getting everything arranged. We will definitely be talking to you again for future ventures!

We are home. Please tell Donna thank you (note: Donna is our lead housekeeper) too. She was so sweet to be concerned and great to work with. I envy her being able to live down there.
It was beautiful! We loved the peace, the beach, the water so warm,....I wish I could manage a way to raise our family with such simplicity. We had great quality time and laughs with our kids, the best gift of all. And Tank, oh my! He was in doggy heaven. Pelican view was a perfect set-up for us. We are having view withdrawal. I must have taken a million pictures and somehow none do it justice!
We left in such a rush that we did not have time to enter in the guest book or fill out the forms. I cannot think of anything off-hand that we didn't have and may have needed...maybe a hairdryer. Thank you for processing the deposit refund.
It is a long way for us, but I hope we will be able to return some time. It is truly amazing how untouched it is. We were repeated surprised and thrilled by the vastness and emptiness of the beach. It is so rare, if not nonexistent.

Pelican View is absolutely the best of the best! Oh, my goodness! Having your first cup of coffee in the mornings on the balcony of the master suite was amazing! And so easy since we had the lovely "coffee station" right in the suite.....very thoughtful!
This was our 5th trip to the Cape and we honestly didn't even consider booking with anyone else. We've really come to appreciate all the extras that you include, the way you have simplified the check-in and check-out procedures, the beautiful, immaculate condos and, of course, the gorgeous, uncrowded beach!
Maisie, our little Westie, had a great time! She loves the beach (and just looks so adorable because she is the exact color of the white sand!) Our friends (many of whom are more familiar with Panama City and Destin) simply cannot believe that we put our "beach stuff" out on Saturday when we arrive and don't bring ti in until we have to leave for home. It just doesn't get much better than that....
Our 2 sons and their lovely wives were able to join us this year. Although we all live within 30 minutes of each other, we seldom have time to just relax and be together. One evening we bought some fresh shrimp and prepared a wonderful scampi with angel hair pasta. We all ate together out on the deck as the sun was setting. There was a nice breeze and we had such a good time laughing and talking over one another. That is a memory I will always cherish...
Every year we think we've had the best vacation ever and this year was certainly no exception. We can't wait to get back to the Cape!
Thank you for everthing you continue to do to make our experience enjoyable and stress-free. We'll be in touch as soon as we know how our schedule looks for next time.

Thank you for the timely deposit return. Yes, I do wish I were back! Matter of fact I was eyeballing dates for next year! We all had fun and my daughter had a BLAST! She built sandcastles, caught hermit crabs and minnows to "rescue" and return to the sea, swam in the pool and learned to boogie board. Coneheads was a plus :-)! I have vacationed on St. George Island for the past 10 years and Mexico Beach twice and I can honestly say Cape San Blas tops them all. Loved the Pelican and will be coming back!

It was all your website said it was and more! We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay at Barrier Dunes #12, Pelican View. Such a wonderful property. Upon arrival we had NO second thoughts about our choice for a vacation spot and no surprises (except how nice the condo and grounds really were). Even the weather cooperated with clear skies, clean beach sand, warm water and tropical breezes. Everyone from the guests to the people taking care of the property were very friendly. It was refreshingly nice to know we could leave our things on the beach and outside the condo overnight without fear of losing them. The people at the complex were definitely a nicer class that know how to enjoy themselves tastefully.
Thanks very much to the owners (the Evans family) for offering a venue that enabled a relaxing and gratifying vacation experience.

I had a wonderful time! I have never been to such a beautiful place with such wonderful accommodations!
Honestly, if I could LIVE in that condo, I would be a happy woman! Not only was Pelican view beautiful to look at, but the entire experience, the ambience, the water, the sunrises, the sunsets, the shells, the "little things" like outdoor showers and thoughtful kitchen additions and everything I could use in/on/near/next to the sand had been thought of! Even the other guests were all a joy to experience. My elderly Bassett hound had a little trouble navigating the 3 sets for stairs, but even SHE eventually adapted to the "journey".
I truly had no idea such a paradise existed.
I hope we can/will return next year or even earlier, but who know what the coming months will lay in our laps!

Wanted to let you know what a fabulous place the Cape is! Of course you already knew that! Lucy and I had such a great week of just doing nothing and it was so fun to see all the dogs just being dogs! The condo was fab, way too much space for me-- but really nice!
I "spaed" myself everyday while I was there because you have that extra time to be good to yourself when you're on vacation. Anyway, Cape San Blas is such a fabulous place and it was a really great vacation! Everybody at work today was like "WOW!, you look great!"

We were very pleased with Barrier Dunes and our condo. The furnishings, view and layout were all beautiful. We only had 1 cloudy day the whole time. Our dogs loved it also and we were careful to follow all of the rules. We will definitely go back. Thank you for refunding the security deposit!

Thank you so much! We had a wonderful time at the Cape, and we loved everything about the place, especially the view! Everything was exactly as described on your website and it exceed our expectations. Not only would we like to come back sometime in the future, we'd like to come back now! I still have the post-vacation blues! We live in a very big city with way too much traffic, so it was a completely relaxing getaway.
We loved being able to walk out of the townhouse right onto the beach and take long walks on the beach every morning and evening. We loved reading in the afternoon in the master bedroom and looking out on the ocean and being able to see just the water. It was almost like being on a cruise ship! The weather was perfect every day and the sunsets were beautiful every night.
This was our first trip to the ocean with our Golden Retriever, and we weren't sure if she'd like it, but we had trouble getting her out of the water. We met 2 ladies in one of your rentals with a one year old Golden Retriever (Kerrie and Cathy), and the 2 dogs had so much fun playing together in the ocean and on the beach.
Thank you for making your townhouse available for dog owners. Having our pooch with us made the trip so much more fun, and as a result, we met several very nice dogs and thier owners!
Only 1 of these Golden Retrievers is Pams--these 2 dogs met at the Cape and became fast friends!

I can honestly say that it was the best family vacation we've ever taken. The unit was so convenient to the beach. Thank you for your note, we had a wonderful time. Believe it or not, the drive didn't end up being that bed. Guess it shows how much we needed to get away! We ended up relaxing and walking the dogs on the beach. I sure hope the county doesn't change the law on allowing the dogs, it was awesome. We are definitely interested in coming back. Also, we loved the decor of the master suite. It was beautiful!
NOTE: There are no plans to change the rules about pets on the beach!
