How does this work?
The Cape Escape has partnered with VayK Gear to provide an incredible added service to your upcoming vacation when you book a stay at a participating property. This exciting program gives you a great discount on all BEACH GEAR items you rent for your upcoming stay. Use this discount to rent popular, top-quality beach gear items like bikes, chairs & umbrellas, kayaks, paddle boards, corn hole, beach carts, skim and boogie boards and more!
Select the items you want at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled check-in date and we’ll deliver everything for you on the day you are scheduled to check in and pick everything up on your scheduled check-out day. Just leave your gear clean and where you found it the night before your check-out day (gear pickups start at 6AM ET), we’ll take care of the rest.

How do I use my "beach gear included" credit?
Check your email. You will receive an email from VayK Gear in advance of your stay with a custom link to use your Beach Gear Credit.
What if I want More Than The Credit Amount of Beach Gear?
No problem! You can get all you want. Just select the items you want and we’ll have it waiting for you.
What kind of gear can I get?
We offer Bikes, Beach Loungers, Beach Umbrellas, Kayaks, Stand Up Paddleboards, Beach Carts and more to make your stay even better!
Are baby-carriers or kid-trailers available for the bikes?
No. VayK Gear does not rent kid trailers or baby carriers at this time. They also do not allow the use of any third-party attachments to their bikes.
How exactly do I get my gear?
It’s simple. Once you have made a reservation, just go to our “Guest Gear Selection Page” on our website. Enter your reservation number, and you can select your beach gear items!
When can I place my order?
You can make your initial selections up to 48 hours prior to your scheduled check-in date without incurring a late fee. Your credit/discount expires at 4 p.m. ET the day after your scheduled check-in date.
Gear is subject to availability and delivery or late fees may apply, so we recommend ordering as soon as you receive your welcome email from us.
Do I have to select my gear right after I book my house?
You can select your beach gear items up to 48 hours prior to your stay free of charge. Make sure you make your selections by then! Otherwise, we can’t guarantee we’ll have it waiting for you, and late fees will apply. 5 p.m. Cut-Off for Next Day Deliveries.
Can I order beach gear for next-day delivery?
Yes. Although, orders placed after 48 hours prior to your scheduled check-in date are subject to a late fee. All orders placed before 2 p.m. ET the day before check-in will be delivered the next day. If your order is placed after 2 p.m. ET your gear will be delivered the following day.
So you deliver it right to my rental home?
Yes, We will deliver on your arrival day. Just leave it where you find it and we’ll pick it up too!
Do I have to be at my beach house for delivery?
Nope. We’ll drop your gear off and pick it up. We’ll send you a text message when your gear has been delivered.
Can I pick up my beach gear?
Sorry, no pickups. We deliver everything!
What if I need to change my beach gear selections?
No Problem! You can make changes up to 24 hours after your arrival. Please note: Selection changes can be made up to 48 hours of arrival free of charge. Selection changes made after 48 hours prior to arrival are subject to availability, a $25 Delivery charge, and delivery will be made on the next scheduled delivery.
Can I get Damage Protection on my Gear?
Yes! Just check the “Gear Damage Protection” Box during checkout and you can vacation worry-free!
Do I need to put down a deposit for the Beach Gear?
No, but we keep a credit card on file for any damaged or lost gear.
Do I need to do anything with the Gear when we depart?
Just leave the gear clean and where you found it. We’ll pick it up!
