Barrier Dunes, is a quiet and secluded gated gulf-front neighborhood located next to the 10-mile stretch of St. Joseph State Park. Barrier Dunes takes its name from the soft, sugar-white sand dunes sculpted here over countless centuries by gulf shore breezes.

Barrier Dunes has been carefully developed with a commitment to preserve this beautiful beach environment. There are no bright city lights, high-rise condos, or crowded highways to spoil itsnatural setting.

All of the Barrier Dunes townhouses are connected by a series of boardwalks that take you to two lighted tennis courts, private freshwater fishing ponds, two pools (1 direct beachfront & the 2nd HEATED in March, April, October & November), pet stations throughout, boat washing area, boat parking & a playground.

Barrier Dunes is set up to ensure that all homes enjoy privacy, are close to the beach, ocean & amenities.  At every turn, you will find peaceful views of sand dunes, the sea & piney woodland that make Barrier Dunes a beautiful place for your year-round Florida Panhandle beach vacation.

We strive to make your vacation hassle-free by providing everything you need to enjoy your vacation rental. Our vacation rentals boast a fully-equipped kitchen and laundry room, technology for entertainment, clean linens, and outdoor accouterments.

We also provide a Guest Information Book in each of our Barrier Dunes Rentals. It contains everything you need to enjoy your vacation without doing too much research and calling around when you should be relaxing! It has menus to many of the Forgotten Coast area restaurants as well as a complete list of restaurants in Cape San Blas, Port St. Joe, Apalachicola, Indian Pass, Carrabelle &  Mexico Beach, information about St. Joseph Peninsula State Park & other parks & places to go in the area, a list of fishing guides, brochures from various recreational outfits in the area such as horseback riding on the beach, fishing guides, renting kayaks, etc.
