Gulf Breeze was clean, completely outfitted with all we needed and it enabled us to have a wonderful vacation. You told me you thought we would like Gulf Breeze and you were right. My husband commented on the “Relax” sign in the kitchen and said it was so appropriate because that is exactly what we did. What a great complex and area–you guys have really found a jewel of a spot in the world.
We were afforded beautiful weather through the week, caught some Triple Tail which we thoroughly enjoyed cooking for a couple of delicious dinners (went out with Captain Carl off of Indian Pass–he was great!), built some fabulous bonfires on the beach while we took in the evening ocean breeze and gorgeous stars. Sunsets were magical and all the people we met throughout the week were so very friendly and nice. It was very convenient to have the beach chairs, the beach buggy, pet towels–so many items that we used and didn’t have to bring from home. This was our pup’s first visit to the beach and we think she appreciated her time as well–what’s the saying…”a tired dog is a happy dog!” and she was pooped out and happy!
During the week, we took a trip to Apalachicola–what a quaint little town with its shops, restaurants and fishing village feel. We also went to the nearby Indian Pass Raw Bar and ate some of the best and most fresh shrimp and oysters. We’re very much looking forward to another visit to the Cape–maybe during scalloping season next year so we can experience the scalloping adventure we’ve heard so much about. We originally considered visiting Cape San Blas for only a long weekend. We are so glad we decided on staying a full week–what a marvelous week it was!
No worries on the DVD player–you’re correct that our player at home is Blue Ray and the one at Gulf Breeze is not. Since you have HBO at the condo, we found plenty of other movies to enjoy.
