We really enjoyed our stay at Sea Breeze. The condo was very well equipped and comfortable. The few steps (no stairs) to the beach was so convenient. The beach itself was lovely…and never crowded. We met some very nice people and plan to return to this little treasure again!!!
The condo far exceeded our expectations in location, space, comfort, cleanliness, amenities and more!
This was our first trip to Cape San Blas and I spent a good amount of time researching places to rent – I cannot recommend Wendy’s property enough!! My husband and I are in our mid 30’s and brought our 2-year-old labradoodle for her 1st visit to the ocean – it was a 9 hour trip from Nashville, and as we rounded the bend to the Cape and saw the houses and water – we were immediately hooked.
The directions to the condo were easy to follow, the keypad made entrance easy, and we were surprised at how spacious it was! Here are a few highlights: – You can’t be much closer to the beach than if you were right on top of the waves. Just steps from the door and you’re at the pool or on the sand. – The beach itself is PERFECT – you’re at the northern part of the cape and each day we walked a little to the left and had the entire space to ourselves – day and night. The views, the sand, the water, the sunsets are just perfect. – I visited the pool just once in the late afternoon to read and it’s beautiful and comfortable overlooking the ocean.
We were able to find the Trading Post market for beer, wine, and a last-minute pizza for dinner one night. We also bought food there to cook, and went to Cone Heads for drinks and food several times – it’s right across the street from the condo area! – One day we went to the state park just to the left of the condo entrance and rented a canoe to roam around the crystal clear waters. Another day we drove to the tip of the cape and hiked to the abandoned shrimp boat, where we watched a fisherman bring in a shark and release it – *warning that there were CRAZY amounts of flies that I may never forget, but that sounds typical in Sept/Oct in that area – it’s where the tree stumps are and about a mile hike in. The entire trip was spent relaxing – we swam, caught 10+ crabs with the nets, explored the Cape and started planning our next trip. The deck on the condo is perfect for pre-sunset dinner – and the star-watching and sunsets on the beach are incredible! Bring plenty of sunscreen, a beach blanket or two, a beach umbrella and you’re set!
If you love the beach, and hate crowds, dislike high rise condos, this is the place for you and your family! Very family oriented and everywhere on the Cape dogs are welcome. At Cape Escape they go out of their way to make sure you have all you need for yourself and your dogs. We absolutely recommend this place for your beach vacation.

We weren’t sure how the Cape faired after the hurricane last year. I can tell you, they have done an amazing job on the entire cape. The beach is just beautiful! We were lucky in that the weather was a couple of degrees cooler for us. The water is so clear we could watch the little fish and crabs swim around. My Labrador tried his hardest to catch them. So did the 11 year old boy we brought with us. Everyone on the beach is so friendly. A couple of men actually played frisbee with my dog. That was a first for us! I didn’t know he could catch a frisbees from the air! We stayed so close to the beach we could hear the waves rolling in at night. Maybe next year we can stay a little longer.

Our stay at Sea Breeze was wonderful. It is a very clean unit with cheery beach décor. Comfortable furnishings and a well-stocked kitchen made our stay feel like home. We enjoyed using the outdoor grill and loved using the poker set and glancing through the guest books. Wendy was very easy to work with. She responded quickly to phone calls, emails and texts as we were planning our trip, during our stay and even after we got home. Highly recommend this unit and Wendy.

Oh my goodness – we had a great, great time. The weather was beautiful and we couldn’t have had a better week. We felt so safe with a gated community! The beaches were spectacular and clean and the shelling was so much fun. We loved Indian Pass Raw Bar. We loved Apalachicola. We had so much fun watching your bonfires from our deck. We will definitely be back and will send some pictures for your website!
The Cape and The Cape Escape were more than we expected. Truly, we were swept away. I had not imagined in all of my mind to feel so safe, so welcome to a community of which I had never been. My family and I were double-taken at the sincerity throughout all guests we met and their seemingly interred nature in who we were and “oh, your dogs are so beautiful.’ We ALL lust loved our stay. Our experience was heart-warming. As we drove away, my daughter yelled from the backseat, ‘Goodbye vacation house, see you later…’We had an amazing evening when we were able to share with a great family we met on the beach. Ryan built a fire in the sand to roast marshmallows and we soaked up ‘together’ time as a family, dogs included. We were excited and very surprised to see how uncrowded the beach was. Such a warm, cozy feeling. All the amenities were so awesome and ever so appreciated. Seahorse Water Safaris was a sheer BLAST—goodness! A BLAST!! SUPER service too, they were great to us! SO many great memories Wendy. Your place is extraordinary!
I just had to email you to tell you what a GREAT time we had at Barrier Dunes this past week! The unit was perfect! We are telling all our friends about it. We just can’t stop talking about how wonderful it was. We just can’t believe how well stocked it was…everything needed for the beach, dish detergent, etc. Amazing! Our pup had a great time, too. We loved the entire area, the Barrier Dunes complex, our unit…just perfect. We will definitely be back!!!!!Thank you so much for making the rental and check-in process so smooth. All the info on the area (things to do, etc.) was extremely helpful. Can’t wait to go again! And will definitely be contacting you for the perfect unit.
We had a wonderful stay at Barrier Dunes! The beach was amazing! My family & I loved the fact that it was not crowded & very family oriented. We didn’t have to worry about loud & annoying music or obnoxious people. We were able to enjoy the peaceful sounds of the waves during the day and a bonfire with the waves at night! Very dog friendly.
Finding the beach at the condo was a very pleasant surprise & made our short walk to the beach so much easier.
Thanks again for your willingness to be so specific & for your willingness to let me family arrive a little early. We do plan to visit again in the near future!
Gulf Breeze was clean, completely outfitted with all we needed and it enabled us to have a wonderful vacation. You told me you thought we would like Gulf Breeze and you were right. My husband commented on the “Relax” sign in the kitchen and said it was so appropriate because that is exactly what we did. What a great complex and area–you guys have really found a jewel of a spot in the world.
We were afforded beautiful weather through the week, caught some Triple Tail which we thoroughly enjoyed cooking for a couple of delicious dinners (went out with Captain Carl off of Indian Pass–he was great!), built some fabulous bonfires on the beach while we took in the evening ocean breeze and gorgeous stars. Sunsets were magical and all the people we met throughout the week were so very friendly and nice. It was very convenient to have the beach chairs, the beach buggy, pet towels–so many items that we used and didn’t have to bring from home. This was our pup’s first visit to the beach and we think she appreciated her time as well–what’s the saying…”a tired dog is a happy dog!” and she was pooped out and happy!
During the week, we took a trip to Apalachicola–what a quaint little town with its shops, restaurants and fishing village feel. We also went to the nearby Indian Pass Raw Bar and ate some of the best and most fresh shrimp and oysters. We’re very much looking forward to another visit to the Cape–maybe during scalloping season next year so we can experience the scalloping adventure we’ve heard so much about. We originally considered visiting Cape San Blas for only a long weekend. We are so glad we decided on staying a full week–what a marvelous week it was!
No worries on the DVD player–you’re correct that our player at home is Blue Ray and the one at Gulf Breeze is not. Since you have HBO at the condo, we found plenty of other movies to enjoy.
Feel free to use any of my comments for your website. Thank you, again, for all of your help and service.
