The Cape never disappoints ♥️ spent 10 days this time and it was perfect! Our golden loves the beach and jumping the waves….her 3rd beach trip! The condos are well kept and clean. Great book of ideas for fun and food while enjoying the forgotten coast. Until next time…..
We had such a nice time in this place! Clean and lots of little touches!!! The unit is SO close to the beach and we loved waking up and going to bed staring at the ocean. Nice community, nice pools and ponds. 5 stars!
We had the most spectacular sunsets at the Cape! Our family really enjoyed our stay September 4-11 2020! The grands thought swimming with the fish and seeing the bottom of the ocean floor was amazing!
Wendy was great working with, the house was wonderful, and our dog always loves coming too!
Horseback riding was great with Rocking M, so fun! Sure hope to go back to Walking in Sunshine!
My husband and I just returned from a wonderful week in Cape San Blas. We stayed in “Walking on Sunshine” in Barrier Dunes. We have booked through Wendy for several years and it’s always a good experience. She is attentive, responsive and easy to work with. The condo was perfect and had everything we needed. Due to the current situation, we cooked while there more than we usually do and the kitchen was perfectly stocked. The deck overlooking the Gulf is the best part, especially watching the beautiful Cape sunsets!
Cape San Blas is truly a hidden treasure! This trip was to celebrate my birthday and celebrate my daughter being home from overseas. We were NOT disappointed. We have gone many years to Panama City, but wanted to bring my daughter’s dog with us and could not do that at our former place. The beach house was immaculate, the amenities were plentiful, and the healing waters of the Gulf were 40 yards away from the deck. One could sit inside or outside and watch the waves roll in. Left all my stress on that beach. This is a wonderful place and would highly recommend. We will be back!
We have booked with this owner several times in the past and were not disappointed! We go to the Cape to unwind and love the area. The home was well appointed with several amenities – including boogie boards which makes for great fun in the waves. The layout of the home is nice, as there is plenty of space for everyone. The open concept of the first floor allows people to visit and hang out on the (hopefully) few rain events and makes for relaxing evenings. The loft would be tight for adults, as the ceiling is very low – be careful going up the steps!!! It’s fantastic for kids, though. This was the smallest beachfront unit we have rented, but still – 10 out of 10 recommend!
Just returned from another great week at the cape. We try to fit in at least 1 trip a year and luckily were here in April and again November. The area is recovering nicely lots of improvements and loads of things to do. We always enjoy long walks on the beach, trips to Apalachicola for Oyster City Brews and tasty treats at dog-friendly restaurants. Walking on Sunshine is always a comfortable, quiet, relaxing oasis. After 1 week of watching dolphins from the porch and strolling with the dogs down the beach I am looking ahead to our next trip.
Walking on Sunshine was amazing! Wonderful condo right on the beach. Perfect for families and their dogs.

This is our 7th year at Barrier Dunes, and first time in one of Wendy’s beach front condo rentals. The condo was the best ever. We were very happy and so pleased with our stay at Walking on Sunshine (Walkin’ on Sunshine – Direct Beach front condo). We loved the renovations. It was nicely decorated and clean and exactly as described. We were especially pleased that Wendy went above and beyond to help us when we discovered our reservation with another manager fell through. Her willingness to work with us to get the condo ready for our requested dates was much appreciated. We are grateful to both the new owners and Wendy for our wonderful snowbird stay this year. We’re even on the books for next year. Thanks, Wendy!
I’m just gonna go ahead and tell you….This condo is by far the best we have ever stayed in ! Love it! We were very surprised at ALL the great extras here. Never stayed at a place so well stocked. We tried all afternoon to work it out so we could stay until Monday. But just can’t do it. Thank you so much for setting us up in this wonderful place. We will definitely be back and want to stay in this unit or at least a Cape Escape unit. You have really gone the extra mile. Thanks for the perfect weekend.
